I recently got an Ipod touch 3g and needed a new fm transmitter since the one i've been using for three years no longer charges the new models. I bought this FM transmitter thinking that it was a reasonable price (definately not $70 dollars) and for the fact that it had everything I was looking for. The first day I used it a screw came loose and the whole thing fell apart. Thankfully I found the screw that had popped out and was able to fix it. Afterwards, I noticed that it was very sensitive. If I tried to put it in a different position, it wouldn't respond. I figured that as long as I didn't touch it, it would be fine. Another thing that I annoyed me about this product is that it doesn't turn off. I had another fm transmitter that never turned off and I thought this wouldn't bother me but there is a blue light at the top of the transmitter that, of course, never turns off. The only way that it turns off is by ungplugging the transmitter. I was willing to overlook that aspect since the sound quality in my Saturn SL2 was amazing (no problems with static) but it is now just about two weeks after I have bought the product and it no longer works. Save your money. This product is not worth it.

First of all, there is no on-off switch. So, once you put it in, the only way to listen to your radio is to unplug the device.
Additionally the product broke after 1 month of use and there is no warranty.
Look elsewhere. This product sucks.

This thing is great for car trips. I have the ipod touch 3rd gen and didn't have an issue with the cord length. I also didn't have any problems with fuses in my car and I drive a 2005 Chevy cobalt. I paid ~$100 for a similar device 5 years ago that will no longer charge my ipod touch.
It can take a while to get all the clips to hold in the ipod in place. The adjustable snake support is a great addition over older units that have fixed arms that only bend at joints.

Pros: charges and holds my iPhone 3gs well. Fm transmitter works well if you turn the volume up
Cons: annoying static while playing audio, also causes other FM radio stations to have static. It also causes my iPhone to lose the GPS signal (Navigon loses GPS signal constantly after being plugged in. If sitting in the cradle without hooking it in, GPS is fine) I bought this device to work in conjuction with Navigon GPS, so this issue renders the device useless to me.

I bought this item and it worked for 1 day. It didn't come with any instructions and no clue how to set up the quick set dials.
