The sound is good but occasionally distorted. I think it comes down to your tolerance for bad sound, keeping in mind that the sound quality will be with you long after the savings has worn off. (It has outstanding sound for a $2 speaker and that doesn't mean it's particularly pleasant to listen to.)
If you plan on traveling with portable speakers and want to minimize bulk, keep the cost reasonable, and have a somewhat better listening experience consider this: iLuv iSP100BLK Mini Portable Speaker for MP3 Players and iPod (Black). It's more compact, more durable, and has considerably better sound.
To put it in perspective, I'm on a business trip and was given one of these as a "thank you" for filling out a survey. I've decided it's worth tossing it in my suitcase for the trip home... but just barely. However, the next time I travel and want to take along a portable speaker it won't be this one.

I recently bought the charger for my car and it works well. My iPod (30GB Video 5G) charges very fast with this charger and does not 'short', like some have been reported to do. The specific charger that I received is slightly different from the stock picture, with the handle at the cigarette lighter end a bit rounder. The blue indicator light is also much bigger, about the size of a US quarter, but glows only a faint blue which makes it not as distracting. The plastic feels pretty cheap, but for only $0.60 and shipping, it's worth it to get it since it DOES work.

Works exactly as it should. I installed 2 of these on mine and my girlfriends IPOD. Mine went on first try with no bubbles, and completely centered within 1 minute. The second one I applied had a few bubbles at first, and wasn't quite centered, but you can pull it off and reapply a few times with no negative effects. The second one took me 2 minutes to apply. This even comes with a screen cleaner for pre-application, and a small squegee to iron out the bubbles. I'm glad I went with this high quality product, even though there are some other products on Amazon that are less expensive. It is not nearly as hard to apply as some previous reviewers have described. Once it's on, you can't even tell it's there.

i'm really surprised these things aren't more readily available. the apple store doesn't carry them, not too many online retailers carry them and it puzzles me.
i didn't have the difficulty others had with the application of the screen protector, but i've been using it for over a week now and love it.
i'm curious to see if it will leave an adhesive or goo on the screen itself if i ever have to remove it or reposition it.
it does what it says it does, was easy to handle and apply (it might be more difficult for beefy fingers) and so far is holding up wonderfully after banging around in my handbag all week.

My Ipod classic 6G is always in my backpack along with other stuff that could easily scratch the screen so i searched for a screen protector with a good review and found this one in the box you'll get 2 screen protectors + wheel protector + a piece of plastic to insure no air bubbles, i like it and i would recommend it to Ipod classic owners.

Product is very useful. It's small and easy to pack up. It doesn't take up much extra space along with your iPod. If you're concerned about the sound quality and volume as compared to the iPod touch (2nd gen), it is far better. I was impressed. As for attaching it with cases, some cases may not fit, but others do. That's the only down side. But i still love the speaker. A good item for it's price.

Cons: Non At All, this is a great speaker for all of us iPod Touch 1st gen users.
If you are considering buying a 2nd gen touch because of the lack of speaker on your 1st gen then stop right now because you can just buy this portable speaker and your good to go. It wont fill the room at a party with sound and neather would a 2nd gen internal speaker but it will perform just as well as an internal speaker and make you proud of your 1st gen iTouch again.

This product is awesome. I don't have to use my headphones which is annoying. You can adjust the volume of it. The little drawback is putting the speaker in when I have a skin on my ipod touch. It doesn't want to go all the way in and work so I have to remove my skin which is a pain.

I ordered this charger for obvious reasons and was rather disappointed when I gave it to my dad to use, and it didn't work at all. Upon return, I saw a notice about this company saying they don't return or refund purchases... What's that about? I knew the low pice was too good to be true. I contacted amazon after e-mailing the seller and hopefully, the company Eforcity will respond within three business days or amazon cusstomer service said they will take necessary action. I just sent the e-mail about 30 mins. ago, so we shall see how the return progresses.

Regarding this iPod wall charger...
--- I wondered why the same product kept coming up with different prices. Maybe because they want to hide poor reviews and keep starting fresh? The first time I plugged it into my iPod, for a few minutes the backlight of the iPod turned on, but not the text. Then the light went off and I was not able to get the iPod to respond again for two hours. It was dead. I made sure the lock switch was off, I tried to reset, I plugged it in using the Apple brand charger that has been working fine...but nothing worked. It was gone.
--- Perhaps it was a coincidence that, despite the iPod working fine for two years (including a couple of hours on a flight just yesterday), the first time I plugged it in to charge with this product, it died. However, it also seems possible that this product provided the wrong electrical supply to the iPod and fried it, at least temporarily. I don't feel like trying it on other iPods to test this theory, though.
--- I thought I was getting a good deal by buying this for 1 cent and paying $4.99 shipping and handling. Now I realize the ploy - there is no reason to return it for a $0.01 refund, and shipping is not refunded.
--- I urge people to avoid this product.

When I bought this for my Husband for Christmas I was alittle skeptical about this because I didn't know enough about this product. I took a chance and bought it anyways. My husband had one but,he didn't like because it had alot static and the sound was terrible. So I decided to get this one instead. When he tried the new tranmitter I got him for christmas he was surprise that it wasn't like the one he had. Its has good sound there's no static when he changes freguency and he listen to it everyday when he goes to work. So I'm happy I got him this for Christmas. I also happy that it has a 3 year warranty. I recommend anyone who's looking for a transmitter to definitely try this one.

I really like my FM Transmitter and iPod charger. The sound quality was good and I appreciate the fact that I can set any frequency on the FM dial, rather than being stuck with 2-3 specific frequencies to try, as I live in a large metro area where the FM dial is crowded with stations. The only drawback for me is that I would like for the interface cable to be a little bit longer. Sometimes, when I'm playing music with it attached, I get a phone call and have to remove it quickly to pick up the call (or make sure my bluetooth headset is in my ear). Overall very good, but please make the cable longer, so I can get it up to my ear if I need to.

I bought this for my daughter who turns 16 on Christmas. We haven't used this one yet but her sister has one and they are wonderful. They work exactly as advertised and are small and make great stocking stuffers. My kids never complain about whats on the radio anymore, they can listen to their own stuff. Great product!
