 "Love it!" 2010-02-01

I gave this docking station to my younger brother and he absolutely loves it. It has an amazing sound quality and can definitely stand up next to a JBL, but does it without the big price tag. It's stylish and functional. It charges his iPod Touch and works great. It also shipped amazingly fast.

 "Ipod station" 2010-01-30
By NPR fan (MT/VI)
I am in no way very electronic savvy. However, this has turned out to be something I can use quite easily. I have listened to several Ipod recorded NPR shows and am happy with the results. I have not as yet tried playing it off the battery outside on the gallery, but may do that soon.

"A great gift that sounds incredible" 2010-01-17

I bought this Satechi dock station for my wife, she loves to box and do yoga so I figured I'd save her the hassle of lugging her laptop around with her so she can listen to music while she exercises. She's got an older 6th generation iPod classic, which works great with this speaker dock.

It charges her iPod, and it's got BIG sound! Even on battery power, and at high volume, this dock station pumps out big sound with great clarity. It's easy to use, the remote control is a wonderful feature, and the fact that it charges a wide array of Apple mp3 players is a nice touch. This unit even works with non-Apple mp3 players. It won't charge them, but with the included 3.5mm headphone jack, it will still play your music just fine. I was surprised by the volume level, sound quality, and range of sound. Sure, it lacks in "big" bass, but I expected it to. It's not like there's a built-in sub-woofer and/or amplifier, so don't expect it to rattle the bookshelf. As far as normal bass that you can hear, it's there; right next to the mids and highs that this unit will provide. The design is nice, since it's donut-shaped you can set it out on a table at a party and the whole room will hear.

Definitely worth the cost, my wife loves her Satechi dock station, I highly recommend it. It's user-friendly, and will work with a wide array of mp3 players.
